I have always been of the opinion that a bisley backstrap has to conceal the upper screws that attach it to the frame and that if the are visible I consider it a conventional plow handle. But it is an Interpretation.
The Ruger version of a bisley is not like the original Colt but Ole Bill Ruger's Interpretation of it modified for shootability. So here we go with our craziness, AGAIN.
Mr Big Bore (Wayne Hager) from the singleactions.com forum had an idea: Keep the same pattern as the BFR Bisley, but drag that Backstrap up to the top so that it is with out question a DARN BISLEY..........LOL!
Thus, the Hager Big Bore 5-S was born.
